Is hedging (opposite trades) allowed?

Updated this week

On iTrader’s Challenge and Live accounts, it is strictly prohibited to create two or more accounts and place opposite trades between them.
Hedging is only allowed within a single account.

What is considered "opposite trading" (hedging)?

Opposite trading refers to placing trades in opposite directions at the same time.

Example (Prohibited):

Opening a BUY trade on EUR/USD in one account

Then opening a SELL trade on EUR/USD in another account at the same time
→ This is not allowed.

What is allowed?

You are allowed to open opposite trades within the same trading account.
This method is called “hedging” and is recognized as a legitimate trading strategy.

Example (Allowed):
On the same account, opening both BUY and SELL positions on EUR/USD simultaneously

What is prohibited?

Opening opposite trades on the same trading pair across two different accounts (either two Challenge accounts or a Challenge and a Live account you own).

If such activity is detected, all your accounts may be terminated, your challenges forfeited, and your registration permanently blocked.
